What is Hair Botox? 

A natural treatment which repairs damaged and broken hair fibers with a powerful concentrate of ingredients including caviar oil, amino acids, natural protein and argan oil. Our treatment is guaranteed to moisturise, nourish, repair and revive your hair from the very first use. 

What's the difference between Botox and Keratin?

The main difference between Hair Botox and Keratin is the restoring properties. Keratin is designed to smooth out your hair and relax the curl, while hair botox not only smooths out the hair, but restores the damage in the cuticle too. Keratin does not contain any restoring properties so it's main goal is to smooth out your hair. 

While hair botox does eliminate all traces of frizz, it is not designed to change your curl pattern. We will consult with you on the dat you arrive for treatment to determine the right one for you. 

What should I expect my hair to feel like after receiving either treatment?

You’ll notice your hair is straighter, more hydrated, shinier and softer. Both our treatments create a protective layer of Keratin that boosts your hair, making it healthy and full of life.

How long does it last on my hair?

Both our treatments are a progressive build up. They last between 2-4 months depending on how frequently you wash your hair. We always advise our clients to book their second treatment 2.5-3 months after their first treatment to build it up on their hair. 

If I’ve bleached, treated, coloured, straightened or had any other kind of chemicals, can I still use the Hair Botox treatment without damaging or breaking my hair?

YES! Everyone is a good candidate for our hair botox treatment. This is especially great for people with frizzy, damaged or processed hair. Our botox is a reconstructed which works to repair the hair root to tip, benefiting every hair type (permed, fine, course, frizzy, curly, colour treated, extensions and Japanese treatments).

Is there any smell or irritation to the eyes?

Both our treatments do NOT contain formaldehyde. There is no irritation of the eyes or skin. There is no bad smell like other keratin treatments. 

Can I swim in the pool or ocean after I have the treatment?

Exposure to salt and chlorine will strip the hair of keratin treatment. We have a serum you can use before the beach or swimming pool to seal your hair strands and protect the treatment. Alternatively, you can purchase a leave-in treatment of your choice and apply it to your hair before going into the ocean/pool to protect it.

How soon can I touch up my colour after I get the treatment?

Hair botox and keratin will strip your colour. We advise all clients to colour their hair one week after treatment. If you colour your hair before coming in for a service with us, it will most likely strip all of the toner out of your hair. 

Can I use the treatment on kids?

Kids over 8 years of age are suitable for our treatments

Can I use the hair treatment the same day my hair has been coloured?

We recommend waiting another week after coloring your hair. To avoid changes in the colour of your hair, we recommend you opt in for our Hair Both treatment as it will not make your hair colour fade.

How long do I have to keep the treatment in my hair before washing?

You can wash your hair 24 hours after hair botox and three days after keratin. Please note: your hair is not in its final state after your treatment in-salon, results are seen after washing your hair. 

How long does it take?

Please allow 2-3 hours for any of our treatments (time depends on the length and thickness of your hair). 

Is Hair Botox designed to make my hair straight? 

No. Hair botox is not designed to straighten your hair. It eliminates all traces of frizz, smooths out your hair, cuts your style time in half, however, it does not change the texture of your curl. 

How much does it cost? 

We charge $250 for all hair lengths/thicknesses. This includes a complimentary trim if required. 

Do you recommend any aftercare? 

Yes, we advise all clients to use shampoo and conditioner that is sulphate and sodium chloride free. We sell shampoos and conditioners in-store for your convenience as well. 

Do you offer any payment plans in-salon?

Yes! We offer Afterpay and zipPay in-salon for your convenience.
